5TH/6TH Grade Conservation Poster Contest
- open to all Fremont County 5th and 6th Graders -
Information for TEACHERS
For 5th and 6th Grade Science classes, the Fremont Conservation District will make a presentation to your class on a designated conservation theme. The themes are based on a particular conservation practice or concern AND the theme changes each year!! You can choose to follow-up with classroom instruction and your students will be ready to create a poster based on the theme!
The Fremont Conservation District provides the poster paper and registration forms that are needed for students to participate!!
Our staff will begin contacting local Science teachers in September to schedule presentations for October. Watch for an e-mail or phone call from the Fremont Conservation District to schedule your presentation time!!
Information for STUDENTS
Our annual Poster Contest is based on a conservation theme and open to ALL 5th and 6th grade students in the area - even if your school is not participating, you can still compete and win!!
If your school is not participating in this exciting event, stop by the Fremont Conservation District's office and pick up a piece of poster board and information on how to view the slide show for the poster contest. Return your completed poster by the due date, and see how well you did against all the local 5th and 6th graders who participate!!
Contact the Fremont Conservation District if you would like to participate in this annual event during the month of October!!
CASH AND PRIZES GO TO THE WINNING STUDENTS AND THE TRAVELING ART TROPHY GOES TO THE SCHOOL WITH THE BEST OVERALL POSTERS!!
IF YOU POSTER IS CHOSEN AS A FREMONT COUNTY CO-CHAMPION, YOUR POSTER HAS THE CHANCE TO WIN AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS AS WELL!
